Soul Sides Vol. 2

I came across this compilation from Oliver Wang, after hearing him on an old episode of The Sounds of Young America today. I wrote a post recently about tracking down a song, but just as satisfying is finding a song like that without all the digging, the kind that gets stuck in your head right away, and requires a few spins before you can walk away from it.

So from Soul Sides Volume 2, which is a collection of soul artists doing cover songs, I found one I couldn’t believe I hadn’t heard before. It’s Al Green doing a cover of “I Want to Hold Your Hand.” It’s a unique take on the song, and I thought I needed to share it with anyone who hasn’t heard it yet.
