Introducing Tweetgift!

Say hello to Tweetgift! This is a little project I’ve been working on with Naresh for a little while, and we’ve decided today is a good day to launch. The idea is to give Twitter users an easy way to show a little appreciation to a friend. So the good news is, if you have a twitter account, you don’t need to sign up for anything! It works kind of like Dan Cederholm’s
Foamee. We have our own syntax for sending gifts, that you can find in our legend. All you need to do is type something like @tweetgift @mattmc trophy message. You start with @tweetgift, then @ your friend's username, the gift you want to give, and an optional message. The difference between us and services like foamee and overheard.it is that you don’t even have to follow @tweetgift unless you want to stay updated on all the gifts being given.

On Tweetgift.com you’ll be able to see all the gifts given, sort by what gifts are being given, or go to tweetgift.com/username to see your own profile, what gifts you’ve received and what gifts you’ve given.
